I spent the night going through possible outcomes. She invests all of it at 33 cents and the share price doubles; it explodes; it craters, etc.

I didn't end up doing anything though, and will probably regret it.

It isn't necessarily ALL or NONE... if the $200k was a windfall anyway, you might take just 5% of that and put it on POET and put the rest on something (or several somethings) that pays reliable dividends.
