These types of conversations take place all the time with different groups, usually following a general news release. The company didn't arrange the call, the brokerage requested it and the management decided the brokerage represented a significant large enough share pool to make participation worthwhile.

The company is VERY careful to not devulge any new "material" information during these talks, they just reiterate what's in the NR and clarify any points that need that. It's the vocal presence that makes them worth while. Shareholders feel more secure in these situations because they feel they are being addressed in person by management with these calls, even though the information was already there in the NR.

For those who feel slighted by not participating in such a call, speak to your brokers. 

The forum is fortunate that "someone" made the recording available to retail, through Rainer, and, as a result,  there seems to be a greater sense of understanding, going forward, as a result.
