MBA, interesting first post, given you joined just this morning.

I know it's fun to speculate about what MAY be going on with POET, but, again, I would caution against letting the possibilities become too inflated about how far up the food chain the entity who wants to purchase DL is.

To me, it is far more likely that a company like Palomar Technologies is the buyer rather than a Samsung size company. The reasoning is simple. While the POET solution may be disruptive, the OI is still a small component of a larger component that combines with other pieces to form a finished product and Denselight is a very small laser builder in a very BIG sea. So it is likely that the buyer is a savey component maker or packager who is closer to the nuts and bolts of semiconductors and knows the POET solution first hand.

It's not really about WHO buys Denselight, but rather WHY. The POET fab-lite initiative is much bigger than a single fab in Singapore.

IMO, of course
