"Its too bad the company doesn’t value its most loyal shareholders. Shameful actually. I’ve been in for over 8 years and have only increased my position."

Understand your perspective, but the company is doing all that it can to accommodate some shareholders.  This could have been done in a way where the brokers sell just to their contacts, in whih case very few here could have participated.

Look, this debenture deal is very good, but in case any of you don't know this - it's a long way from a sure thing, and acceditation for such offerings should be limited, in the eyes of the government, at least, to those who can afford to lose their investment.  So there are rules, and the company would do well to follow them.  Is it fair, well, not totally, but these are the rules and I don't think those that can't invest should carp at those that can.

Someone should explain to the board exactly what is what with the numbers surrounding this offering.  I feel many are under some misapprension, as to what the are getting for their money.

Frankly, I would like to be involved, but if I were involved, the best thing for me to do would be to get out of some ot the stock I now own and use that money to buy the debenture.  Or, if you don't want to be a part of the current sell-off, sell some other stock to get the money, and then after a while, when/if, POET share price comes back or at least can be sold without having to go too low, then sell some stock.
