Actually there will be no impact on the Poet shares outstanding as a result of the DL sale.
When selling a business entity it is typically either a ‘share’ deal or an ‘asset’ deal. So, you either sell the shares which effectively means all the assets and liabilities or, you sell the assets which usually excludes any of the liabilities.
DL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Poet. Poet owns all of the shares of DL (which is a separate legal entity) and in this case Poet is selling the shares of DL which has no impact on the shares outstanding of Poet. Hope this helps
