Additionally he may have been told that there will be no insider sales after xx date due to the upcoming news....I think that is the most likely reason he had to do it now....if he needed some cash now and and couldn't wait until all the commotion is over with the announcement, he just pulled the trigger now....he has lots of shares...100k to him is almost nothing...
