you obviously feel his selling indicates there’s potentially bad news coming

Do you honestly believe, in your wildest imagination, that he would be the ONLY one selling if that were the case? No other insider sells.

Further, you do realize it is the greatest illegal act for an insider of a company to trade based on inside information not available to the public? You do understand that don’t you ?
