There is nothing wrong with talking about trading a stock. It just shouldn't be attached to exagerated talk about the company (whether positive or negative). What usually is distasteful is when people go out of their way to post how bad they think this company is or when people go over the moon on the upside as well. A much more level approach with a reason or two why you feel the way you do about this company is fine. Also we should stay in the present time moving forward and not stuck in the past. The past is irrelevant to the now. For example, when people bash this company or compare it to the Copetti era or prior, it has nothing to do with the way Suresh and Mika steer this company now. They literally had to reenginier Poet from the inside out to turn "concepts" to realistic concepts that can be commercialized now. Before in the GaAs time, it would have been asking to much for the silicon-based industry to change and adopt Dr. Taylor's lab work of which Poet tried to commercialize but could not do it right away as that would be too great a cost for a return to far down the road in my opinion. We've got the OI in customers hands being customized to their platforms positioning Poet to be inside for a quick massive ramp up to global sales. This roadmap and message from Poet has been consistently told since the a slight revision on the second roadmap from Poet positioned them as a photonics integrator.
There is no problem for some to trade around news about Poet being a photinics integrator or investing longterm. Irrational exuberance and excessive deliberate bashing are both wrong for discussion on this forum as that might cause rushes to buy this stock blindly or sell this stock blindly based upon the impact on shareholders emotions. Emotional buying or selling is never good.
