great post!   Beyond your normal literary talents which I always appreciate, I agree with your message!

The first of some big steps should be revealed early this week.  The more highly regarded the buyer and/or its affiliates, the bigger stride we will have taken.  And the more will the whole risk/reward analysis be validated, irrespective of the ultimate result. 

Before Suresh, “you never even had a shot” might have been valid criticism of investment in Poet.  Since he took the reins, and altered course, he resuscitated the “reward” portion. Not an easy thing to do.
