Baba I am not sure what people are expecting but POET included a “prototype and qualification roadmap” in the March 2019 CP.

In that roadmap it provides the following for the second half of 2019:

Portfolio expansion to sensing (Lidar…): This appears to be a joint venture initiative now with the new owner of DL. Which I think is a direction the company will go for future applications that are not core to the datacom and telecom markets.

The datacom and telecom expansion noted in the 1st half are associated with the 100G transceiver types and GPON.

Second half of 2019:

100G ROE qualification ends and ROE customer orders: I get the impression that qualification is  completed but as Lumenge talked about last year customers probably would not want to have half a solution but would want the whole TROE. Which begs the question of why wait if you can achieve savings on half the optical engine. I think the answer to that is that the TROE is moving along as expected with customer orders showing up in the 2nd half of 2019.

400G ROE prototype sampling and qualification start is shown in the 1st half of 2019 with production orders showing up in the second half.

400G TROE prototype and qualification shows up in the 2nd half of 2019.

So what everyone wants is an update on these efforts but POET is doing what they said they would be doing as far as product development other than accelerating the 400G development.

What we have had in the meantime are developments to prepare for mass production of these optical engines. If we think about this we can apply this  phrase "actions speak  louder than words".  $100+ million have been commited by the buyer and they  are not  just keeping the DL Singapore plant (which continues to operate at a loss) running but expanding and spending money on it while at the same time building a new greenfield facility in China.
