McWitty, what you describe is incrediblly common with such developmental companies like POET.
The correct play, in my view, was to sell, for example, $20,000 of POET stock and use the money to buy the debenture. I can certainly appreciate the "restrictions" placed upon you by those in your household that must be obeyed! LOL
But I felt the debenture was a nice was of mitigating some risk, but not without selling some stock first. Others took the opporunity to add to their holding of POET securities - so long as they know what they're doing, well, I say good luck, but my sense is that's not for most who post on this board.
