I had no idea that IBK or whoever would go on your word alone as to whether you were accredited; that's something I learned from reading other posters' remarks here.  It sounds plausible enough, this securities business is pretty dirty, everywhere.  They are looking for one thing - raise money, cuz that's how they make their big money.

Personally, I did not participater due to issues not having to do with the deal, which I continually insisted was a great deal for the debenture buyers.
