Ahasja: in the past the patents werde registered unter "Opel", now they directly belong to "Poet".
My opinion was that OPEL-registered patents were important to protect the IP: If POET was faced an unfriendly takeover, they could easily sell OPEL and the takeover would make no sense any more. I never saw another reason for OPEL to exist.
I had to learn that shareholders have to confirm the Denselight sale and it may be the same when it comes to OPEL. So maybe it is not quick and easy to sell OPEL. Or ist it different? DL is a major part of POETs blance-sheet assets. OPEL is not.
By now I don´t know if my thought about IP protection makes sense at all.
Bottom line: I already asked myself why they changed their patent strategy but I don´t have a clue.
