I believe your concept, Jack, is consistent with " the company marches a very well-documented path of Definition, Proof-of-Concept, Build, Test, Scale-up then Manufacturing/Marketing"   Even so, that doesn't mean that those of us, like yourself for instance, who have been invested for many years can go turn the clock back.  Just something to keep in mind regarding future investments and in respect to any funds we might have now that are otherwise uncommitted.  Perhaps you have plenty of presently unassigned money?  If so, then good for you.  Take advantage.
