The introduction of photonic systems into communications and sensing will entirely change how we live today. Effectively, photonic systems can be decribed as a new industrial revolution.  The third I believe.  In Britain we enjoy visiting the historic industrial sites of the first industrial revolution where coal, iron ore, water and steam power combined to build communication systems like bridges, railways, machines and tools that were sold to the world.  POET is primed to play it's part in the third industrial revolution is Suresh to be the next Stevenson or Brunel? A lot of money was made back then by those involved and so shall we.
