When a variety investors are gathered to pool money, tranches is a normal vehicle of payment.

Some individual investors might need time to rearrange assets to participate among possible

reasons. Also, Chinese currency is regulated tightly, so investors might have to go through all

kinds of hoops (paperwork, etc.) for approval first. Therefore the money comes in chunks, like tranches.
