Mica made a confident statement that a tier one customer is engaged and explains that with design in of that customer requirements, revenue from sales will be in 2021 given normal verification time requirements. NRE is expected in this year from that and other customers. The customer will be revealed when they wish it.
I did not quite catch in what context it was said but he name Intel and Cisco in reference to something. Can anyone add to this?
Apart from his ironic comment, his presentation focused listeners on the unique features of the OI, its simplicity of manufacture over current processes and much reduced cost that current solutions need in terms of more time and labour to achieve, ie the disruptive nature of the POET OI.
He expanded on the importance of the POET approach as a standard, as seen by the Chinese Market which surely gives a message to the West and Japan: don't get left behind in in the race to meet the demand and growth in a burgeoning lucrative markets.
I see no reason why the audiance would not see this presentation as anything other than notice that a significant technical breakthrough has been made by POET and that at least one tier one company has got a head start over their rivals with their acceptance of POET OI Technolgy's verified samples, with others interested.
