I'm Trying to understand why we should have such an outburst of anxt and gloom here. We really are our own worst enemies.
1. We have a verified high quality product developed to meet the requirements of an influential tier one customer in the USA.
2. We have the funding necessary to complete commercialisation thanks to the DL sale. With the wage bill slashed by adopting a fab-light configuration.
3. The OI is to be used in DenseLight products with a Chinese consortium building a fab to produce them to meet the Chinese markets.
Where as the company previously held back on promotion of its potential it announces an inflection point that henceforth it will promote the advantages of its technology that it believes is disruptive in price, performance and a first in the integration at chip scale of photonics and electronics. What's more is the platform approach to meeting customer requirements. Need I go on!
At the very moment of launching an exciting new unfettered approach to selling its Optical Integrator to the Market with a much needed and high quality revamp of its web site launched, along with Mica's opportunistic presentation to get its message out there to mitigate the serendipity of virus fears attendance issues at what will be the main event conference starting on Sunday. We here wanted them to shout it out and they shall, This is not the time for jitters and recriminations this is time for awe and wonder. FJ's statement is on the money.
My brief to friends invested was always there would be no real ramp up in revenue before 2H 2020, some revenue and NRE in 2H, then Q1 2021 for the main upwards curve. The company SP might benefit from its potential before then but real growth could be expected in 2021. Yes I would wish it earlier but let's be pragmatic and not emotional.
Given the talented industrious innovative management we have, real interest from a substantial customer, the green light of approval from the DenseLight Shanghai consortium, sufficient funds and a good plan to hit a burgeoning markrt at the right time, please recognise that this is as good as it gets in venture capital investment.
Stop the over egged glum reactions to such minor glitches in expectations. FJ is right.
