Thanks for the responses. I have the sense many have only or most of their stock portfolio in Poet. So, absent using money specifically borrowed to top off in preparation for the OFC, the need to sell would not be great. 

Of course, using one's margin buying power from marginable stocks to buy non-marginable stocks is problematic. Fortunately for many, margin accounts aren't allowed in retirement plans, and I assume that's the case in Canada, too.
