My take on the share price performance. As many of the long term people here have posted including Rainer the share price has a tendency of moving higher in anticipation of the financials with the potential that something significant like an NRE announcement could precede the announcement.

Something that I believe Tom Mika has cautioned us against in terms of prearranged conference calls re timing of news.

However I think TWG had it right in the following statement.

I think the expectation is that once the year-end financials are released, it will open up the doors to subsequent releases that provide material updates.  It is the anticipation of those material updates I believe is driving the price up.  The year-end financials are the line in the sand.

I think the share price performance is indicating that there is merit to what TWG posted. The move up in the share price to a new 52 week high was not in my opinion  generated from people  here on this  forum who  for  the  most  part I think are tapped  out. And if so there certainly would be significant profit taking right now. But so far there is not any real profit taking.

I have said all along that the companies that POET is in discussions with must be eager to utilize the optical interposer platform to meet their needs. I recognized this right away when Suresh spoke of the platform and the breakthrough in the early days. My question to him was “are you are getting this attention by industry because of your history as a technology leader?” The quick response was no it is because this platform is a breakthrough that industry will want.

I believe that sentiment is more pronounced today than ever before.

The market is standing by because the potential for global leadership in optical integration is very real.
