Dear Oz,
Many thanks for the link.

it provides just the sort of reassurance we need to vindicate our madcap investment in OPEL so long ago that was based on the logic that optical integrated circuits had to be the future in the computing industry. It is, and it's happening now in 2020. Maybe it's too early for back slapping in our group of PTK longs but the innate wisdom of following our belief in optics is greatly enhanced by your find. We've hit the tarmac after a long journey, over rough ground with a large load but that's what adventures are about.
I find Mala Krishnam's presentation at (05:19) certainly resonates the language we hear from Suresh Venkatesen regarding the optical Interposer selling points. I have often been very interested in the circle of contacts that SV moves in and there is no denying that the many links we can see based around India and Indian Nationality, it would be natural and understandable that such communication circles and friendships are built up on the basis of common nationality of the Indian minority group in OIC in the US, POET clearly has access to such a circle. Our Indian heavy Board of Directors with Suresh as Chairman would naturally look to individuals from that community to widen POET's contacts. We all remember the value of a certain someone's Rolodex that brought SV into the Company in the first place and no doubt others too. What a wise move that was for the much maligned Coppetti era. He did what he knew to be right for the company in finding key people to do what he could not. That aside, Mala Krishnam is part of that community and the commonality of the tone and language she uses in common with SV, along with his demonstrable natural inclination to link with Indian born executives in US companies seems now to logically point to Cisco being a favourite to be the mystery Tier One customer.
That SV was humbled in 2016 by the interest shown by an industry significant potential customer and the lucrative contract signed to undertake work on the OI clearly places CISCO in the frame.
The benefits of wise actions and hard work will start to emerge in the second half of 2020 with revenue from the relationship beginning in earnest in 2021. The company plan appears to have momentum despite the minor glitche of the final payment's delay which at least in some way demonstrates the relationship with the Chinese consortium is alive and kicking.
