Thanks for putting an end, at least for most of us, to the cash question. 

So we'll likely end up with a better deal in the back end and get our $2.5 million back with a little kicker.  Not so unusual.

Could be that it was the Consortium's plan all along to renegotiate the final payment or they might have run out of cash. 

My leading theory is that they told Poet that they were disappointed in the rate of progress toward commercialization and that this had been the case from pretty early on (explaining the previously delayed payments).
