Message: POET Technologies Timeline updated

Rainer, thanks for the update and thanks for your posting of the entire meeting.  I listened again to parts 2 and 3 today.  The presentations by Suresh and Vivek were really excellent, fairly easy to follow, and seemed to make all the logical sense in the world. It certainly sounds as if Poet really has a lot of great prospects and a bright future.

Mika did fine, and he gave us the "real" reason the Consortium payments were delayed - they were having a bit of a problem raising their funds. Not a surprise to many, but probably to some.  As between the two parties, I would say that the Consortium may feel as though they ended up with the short end of the stick.  Certainly sounds like the relationship got very testy over time.  Apparently, they've now agreed to be "friends" - hmmm.  I'm not worried about it. The "surprise" comment at the end was a total Mika-like wild card.

Unless it was discussed during the formulaic part of the meeting (first 25% or so), which I did not listen to again, I don't think how we're going to stretch our current dollars through the time when significant money is expected to be realized was mentioned. Of course, there is the hope for the warrants, which will be good news for everyone.  And perhaps if they do sign the final deal with Sanan before the warrants expire, it will happen, but I don't know.  I guess it depends on how detailed the LOI is and what terms are left to be negotiated.  It's possible that there is not a lot left, still there will be at least two sets of lawyers involved, so, given my own line of work, I'm not real confident that the deal will be done by end of September.

If the warrants lapse, so be it, but if the deal is signed in, say, October, it willl presumaby lift the share price which may afford a chance to top off our treasury as needed at a far better price than what we could do now.  I just don't see how we make it 18 months or so, given all of the activity for our growing work force without a few more dollars.  Maybe they go back to the debenture type offering, who knows.

The allusions to the type of companies that are interested in the interposer and our tech in general are pregnant with potential.  The LOI is every bit as important as many of us made it out to be.  Signing the real deal within 60 days would be even better.

I'm really most pleased with the amount of time and effort they put into making such a cogent, thorough, thoughtful and candid presentation. That presentation was tailored for us; if you think a lot more than those associated with this board were among the audience, I think you're way too optimistic (hopefullly the next AGM will be more widely).  They actually heard what we wanted, and delivered, and at no time did I feel as if I were being sold or snowed.  Their timelines are likely optimistic (as almost every time line in every human endeavor is), but they warned that stuff does happen to delay matters, as we all should be well aware of by now.

And, if they do indeed keep us in the loop with more frequent reports, we should be hearing some good ones and the cumulative effect may actually get the price going well before sales.
