Message: Different List

Snap asked about a list of companies with some existent or potential collab. with PTK.

I am spending more time worrying about a different list. You know, the other companies that are working on similar solutions to the same problem.

Elenion-(bought by Nokia)

Skorpios-(VC funding)

Ayar Labs-(Intel funding)

What do these 3 potential competitors have in common? All are private, and being funded by deeeeeeep pockets.

As far as I can tell, Poet is the only publicly listed player in this particular game, and like most things in life, that's both good and bad.

Good, because we get to participate. Bad, well, we are living thru the bad right now. These other companies don't WANT to be public for the very reason we are suffering right now. Poet is a capital constrained company.

Suresh and co are doing their best to thread the needle and deliver us to the other side. If you are still whining about what's going on, then 1) your position is too big or 2) you don't really understand the risks that are inherent in pre-revenue public equity investing. (maybe both?)

I have no insight into the technological differentiation between Poet and the above competition. All I am trying to say is, our opportunity (public participation) is the very thing that makes this rollercoaster so utterly terrifiying.

Am I adding at .50? Damn skippy!
