The entire business with Silterra is turning into a "saga", as the news services in the region call it. There are 2 local groups, heavily financed by Chinese money, that are offering a joint ownership arrangement with the Malaysian government. Suddenly, Foxcomm shows up with a really big offer, but it is for 100% ownership of Silterra.

That's the point where it becomes of interest to POET, because Foxcomm would control what went on within Silterra. That doesn't have any effect on POET's IP or the ownership of equipment, but it may effect POET's ability to to actually produce wafers for Super Photonics if Foxcomm wants the floor space for their own use.

Also, the Chinese would not want a Taiwanese company that close to the production of wafers destined for China and Super Photonics. So, I think you will see a kind of bidding war for Silterra between China and Taiwan.

As to the fireside chat? Yes, in my dreams!!

IMO, of course
