I really think we just need to accept the tech goes over most peoples head and there is nothing we can do about it. Either our management avaoids explaining it in detail and instead talks in hyperbole about what it will do for the end user. At which point the doubters will say prove it and therefore we go round in circles. "How can little old POET have the next big thing" I can hear them cry.
Many people like cars, for their aesthetics and the experience of the ride etc. However, if someone came along and talked about the internal workings of a combustion engine or clutch etc. Most people would be turned off immediately. Unfortunately POET is in a position where it has to make an engines workings sexy and it ain't easy to do.
The same juxtaposition is true of an iphone or samsung. Open it up and it becomes boring to most. We don't have a sexy product that the consumer will understand. We also don't have a bottomless pit of money and time to try.
How does one sell photonics, when the average investor hasn't a clue what a photon is?
