Aiming to become the global leader in chip-scale photonic solutions by deploying Optical Interposer technology to enable the seamless integration of electronics and photonics for a broad range of vertical market applications

Betting Man, as much as you would like an Apple connection, it simply is not so. The technology, as you call it, between the monolithic GaAs chip concept and the optical interposer reality are incredibly different from each other. Like fire and water, if you like.

Apple currently has 10 major data centers, the fewest of any of the major players and given that POET is concentrating on transceivers for data centers, Apple is way down the list of potential customers.

The optical interposer is not a "tweaked" offshoot of Dr Taylor's  GaAs work, it is a game changing original technogy that Suresh, et al, created from Ip from both BB Photonics and OneChip Technologies.

Suresh was talking about Tier 1 potential customers that they had engaged with prior to the qualification of the OI. There are no end users, such as Apple, on the horizon at present, but a time may come when Lightbar, for instance, becomes in internal maintenance item for refitted FP series transceivers?

IMO, of course
