Message: What price do Institutional Investors usually have to have to buy in?

Just a question, are all Institutional Investors different for when they could buy in, at a certain price?

What if we did a 3:1 split and we were at 2.50 a share and then the price that they could buy at is 2.00 but the price drops too 1.80,  do they sell or can they just hold on to the shares? I'm just curious what kind of affect that would have.

Anyone with experience?
