Up to this point in time POET has provided us with insights into the CWDM filtering capability of POET. Some may recall that after the last Toronto AGM (Jack Asters - the good old days) I was able to ask SV a few tech related questions while enjoying some beers. Kath will remember the big smiles as I think it was kind of a rare moment. Anyway enough nostalgia.

I asked SV whether POET was capable of DWDM. At the time POET had achieved 4nm spacing in CWDM (which exceeds CWDM standards).  There was no definitive answer and I don’t think they had investigated the higher standards required by DWDM.

The announcement today is very good news and opens up a whole new field of POET applications. Definitely great news people.
