Cerebras wafer scale is electronic wafer scale integration. The entire slab of wafer is one huge computer chip. They are going after efficiencies of having a huge architectute in one piece of silicon -- that also comes with its own difficulties.

This really has nothing to do with Poet photonic wafer scale testing and assembly. Optical engines were typically hand built but Poet can fabricate them in mass, test them on the wafer and dice the wafer up into individual engines that go into a product. Poet is not trying to use the entire wafer to be one design/engine.
