Well, Michael is a remarkable person, and would be a nice fit for Poet (board?) - but as a serial entrepreneur, it seems he has "higher" targets. Mentioning "the next revolutionary application of silicon photonics" - such as AI... Well, we will see.
At the front of AI hardware, a lot is going on these days. I just had a look at TensTorrent, an interesting startup where the legendary Jim Keller just started as CTO (again - from VP positions of multi billion companies (AMD, Tesla and Intel) to a startup!!! Their newest chip "Greyscull" runs at 600 TOPs (Teslas FSD chip, developed by Keller! is just at 36 TOPs). They are working now on a server with up to 64 Greysculls (will this make a Dojo?). OK, too much off-topic, sorry.
Interesting, in any case, is the connection of Michael at Nokia with Silterra, which is the FAB partner of POET!
