Good morning CelestialAI

Yes, I really appreciate your great contributions.

Broadcom is the number 1 component supplier for IT (Information technology) markets - as an example, they sell 50 million lasers per year.

Pluggable transceivers market vertical:
VCSEL - while a cheap light source for many applications, there are trade-off when compared to more expensive light sources for pluggable transceivers (as DFB & CW Lasers in POET’s case):

first - is reach - max 500m for VCSEL’s
second - is signal fidelity please compare Broadcom’s VCSEL and POET’s CW Lasers open eye demo’s
third - additional electronic chip are needed to recondition signals at the receiving side
forth - VCSEL transceivers need multimode optical fiber vs more expensive light sources us single mode fiber (cheaper).

please see Broadcom’s open eye video demo at 2:22

and and POET’s open eye video demo at 10:02

POET samples are now available - Broadcom can test and compare.
Can POET win some of Broadcom’s business in Pluggable transceivers space that would be a very nice additional surprise to me IMO.

In regard to CPO (co-packaged optics) - Industry must decide which solution to implement (remote or onboard laser source) - POET can deliver both. We shall see ?

Cheers
