I was re-reading the latest blog on Poet's website.

I believe they have alaready conveyed what would be the short-term catalyst in term of share price

This was on April 7th, 2021:

Q: What do you think will be the biggest change the optical interposer will have on the industry in the short term, the next year to two years?

VR: Short term, we are providing this engine In which the most difficult part of the integration has been done. Customers either make or buy lasers and photonics devices, and that part of the manufacturing process is very complicated. Then to use it in a module is another level up in complexity.

What impact we would have is in meeting the demand. We are in an industry that is constrained by supply. We can open that supply up by providing this rich optical engine. It has its cost savings that we’ve been through, of course, but the ease of manufacture is also a very attractive benefit. When we have multiple customers using and scaling with our engine that becomes significant.

Data is constrained by the optical supply, not what they can use. It’s too complicated for data companies in 100G, 200G and 400G to do themselves. We solve that complication by making it easier for module vendors to make a module using the engine.

Some slide from the May 2021 presentation do refer to customers discussion and engagements and when they state that '' POET has engagements or contracts with some of the largest Datacom and Telecom Optical companies who represent a sizable market share among POET’s target market segments''

I believe it would be really beneficial (share price wise) if we could get more insight to the potential market penetration and revenues associated to these and the commercial stage where at with the "largest companies".

Also as they have been show-casing the optical interposer to what I expect to be a broader base of customers at the OFC in June 2021. I would be interested to know the outcome of their recent marketing efforts. How did it affect this slide :

Ain't this funny to know that we already have 2 contracted customers but we can't even know for what product, for how much value , who they are and the potential market associated to these 2 contractual efforts ???

Why being so secretive, while deploying so much marketing efforts, the blog, the agoracom videos, the corporate video, the OFC live demos, the attended investors conference... It's like they have been fueilling up for ignition but they just never press the launch big red button and abort over and over again.

Anyhow, farewell to all dedicated and really patient investors
