Shanghai-based SiLUXTEK
The reason why SiLUXTEK Technology, established two years ago, has become a pioneer in the industry technology is that it has formed a Chinese silicon photonics "dream team". The core members of the company are from the world's leading universities and research institutes, first-class companies and other teams that first developed silicon photonics in the world, such as MIT, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Lucent (formerly AT&T Labs) and Finisar.

Founder, Chairman and CEO Dr. Fu-Tan Gan

he received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT - USA), and is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Information Functional Materials, Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He focuses on the basic and technical research of silicon photonics, and is dedicated to the research of silicon based waveguide devices, optoelectronic devices, materials, large scale optoelectronic integrated circuit technology, as well as high performance CPU and high speed network optical interconnect technology based on silicon photonics.

He has published more than 60 papers in Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Nano Letters, Journal of Lightwave Technology, etc. and applied for more than 40 domestic and foreign patents. His work on optical manipulation on silicon substrates has been featured by the American Physical Society and the British Physical Society, and has been awarded "2011 Important Achievements in Optics in China" by the journal Advances in Lasers and Optoelectronics. Dr. Gan led the team to build a complete core device library compatible with integrated circuit process and integrated microwave shaping function in a single chip, which was published in Nature Communications.

In 2016, he was selected as one of the "Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leaders" in Shanghai, and in 2017, he won the "Shanghai Natural Science Award" (first prize) as the first completer. He has undertaken many research projects as project or project leader, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, 973/863 project of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Strategic Pioneer Science and Technology Special Project of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Major Science and Technology Special Project.

Co-founder and COO Xiao-ting Gao

has been involved in optical communication R&D and operation for nearly 20 years, with rich industry resources and productization experience. He was the General Manager of Nasdaq-listed Emcore China, and has held development and management positions in Oclaro and Lucent Shanghai R&D centers, with world-class management experience in supply chain, marketing and operation management. In addition to technical factors, supply chain management capability is also the killer app of SiLUXTEK Technology, which has established in-depth cooperation with world-class professional silicon optical foundries.
