Agreed, plenty of problems with Rick's friend's "analysis".  Personally, I think it was posted for shock value more than anything.  I doubt RTV believes most of it himself, otherwise he would not be invested in the company (unless of course he's not actually invested, and then the post makes some sense).  To me it reads a bit like the computer generated stock analysis "reports" we see all over the internet these days, stereotyping all Venture companies as P&D operations led by crooks, etc, etc.  Also, could be Rick's friend is heavily invested in that other company in a similar space and is simply trolling the agoracom crew for laughs.  All sorts of scenarios possible.

Not to say there aren't a few points worth consideration (ie options, semi shortage, Chinese govt, etc.), but the obvious superficial nature of his "analysis", drawing conclusions we know to be false, seriously diminishes some of the more salient points worth discussion.

Take home message for me: the friend's "analysis" is likely what many potential new investors will automatically conclude about the company.  To counter this, the company needs be aware of this and figure out how to prevent this sentiment from taking hold in the first place.  Cue Adrian, Shelton, TM, etc.
