I'm neither Canadian nor trusting. However, those short numbers published are evidence, but certainly not dispositive. 

Those numbers, plus the manner in which the stock acts, over a very ling time, indicate to me that shorts are not our problem.

I don't think anyone is adamant who thinks that. Conversely, I think the short conspiracy theorists have more of a stronghold on that characterization.
