The stock price does not have to rise to a certain level for a consolidation of shares. Once Poet receives a sales contract that will value the company at x dollars, they will simpy launch the Nasdaq listing at what price the company will be valued at with said contract. Trading will then be halted overnight on the TSXv with all existing bids and asked cancelled. The stock will then start trading the next day after a consolidation ratio that will give them the number of shares they desire (including any new shares) at the new valuation. IMO.
