Yes of course it was an assumption on my part but I based it on the overall tone of posters on this board.  Sort of like anecdotal evidence without a double blind clinical trial so to speak. The fact that this drop occurred during a very strong rebound in the Nasdaq and that the majority of stocks that list for the first time on that exchange do well initially added to my surprise.
