Leaving aside the question of whether or not that iconic quote is applicable to Poet management, it is at least equally applicable to the great majority of Agoracomers going back to Peter C days. 

Moreover, if Poet management is guilty as you charge, then another iconic platitude comes to mind, with a little poetic license - fool me once, shame on you, fool me multiple times, shame on me.
