Igotbanned: "Yeah Almost 16 mill left that's really only good for 4 more quarters max, so probably some kind of financing beginning of Q4?"
I wonder that this question comes up, anyway. Yes, of course there will be some kind of financing!
POET gave us a vague revenue projection via the Joint Venture and at the moment no one even thinks of something like free cash flow or something like that. I don´t see a chance of going forward without generating external cash. Everything else would be a really massive surprise to me.
It will come. The question is: Will it be a bad thing? The answer is: Not necessarily.
If they announce it to ramp up production or to open a new vertical, everything will be fine. Investing money is what succesful growing companies do. You need money to make money. It´s a good sign for investors.
If they announce it only to cover running expenses and cannot connect it to any progress, it will be a problem. Burning money is what unsuccesful companies do.
So POET needs something profitable to invest in (CEO´s task) and POET needs to say so (CFO´s task).
Easy as that:
investing money = good
burning money = bad
....we will see...
