I think you're forgetting that this is Suresh's invention and he will see it through like he designed it to work, basically an integration platform for best materials and products/components and as he said when at the Pic Conference, many companies impressed him with their inventiveness and their components, yet they still require an integration platform to optimally work in a system to succeed, that's where Poet comes in.

Whenever the best of breed modulators or lasers come out, we'll slap them in (integrate them of course) on the interposer and tada! You'll have a best of breed product in every system or vertical where the clients feel they need cutting edge performance, scalability or just as crucial when less energy/heat is required to hit the metrics the customers desire.
