gordonhead: sales revenue is the only driver here, very easy to understand that

You almost got me to give your post a thumbs up, but then you put the blame on the company, disregarding the fact that it simply takes the time it takes to come to revenue.

While I agree with virtually everyone here that the company should give us more updates and explanations, I doubt it would help much regarding the share price. Nevertheless it should be done.

And not just rosy success stories, please! What we want to see is a realistic picture, which would build up trust. This includes things that are not going as well or as quickly as planned or are being reprioritized for other reasons. If not, only worries and negativity will arise here because we simply don’t know what the status of things is, and many investors will then expect the worst. If POET informs us of difficulties in a timely manner, we are more likely to believe that everything else is fine.

Also the choice of words and detailed explanations are important. I have received a few concerned inquiries from German-speaking investors who feared for POET’s existence, because Suresh called the 400G transmit engine “critical”. You should know that the literal German translation “kritisch” has a much more negative connotation than the English “critical”. Instead of “essential”, “decisive”, “central”, the German ear rather hears “difficult”, “unclear”, “problematic”. I can’t expect that Suresh or POET to know and pay attention to such things. But explaining matters in much more detail might help.
