So just to recap. The optical engines being built on the line(s) at SPX are treated as proof of the commercial viability, reliability, performance and so on. It demonstrates a product which is built, tested...at wafer scale. A fully automated process (confirmed).
So that becomes the proof point that the process works in high volume manufacturing and that the cost structure is in fact disruptive.
So the question then becomes why back companies which don't even have a product yet and are using processes that can't match POET?
Industry needs to see a path forward now more than ever and POET is that path and industry is taking notice. The POET platform is the real deal and industry wants it.
So if we are talking about a light source for AI and ML that market is going to be massive and POET plans to be ready for it. 4 million units at $200-$300 each to keep up with demand. Do the math.
I am pretty sure that the market is going to see the writing on the wall that POET has a silver bullet.
