Leb, I hope you are right - but

I think the action over the last few days is more related to TFSA purchases rather than any promo activity.

Because of Canadian tax rules, a transfer in kind will not allow realization of capital losses. So holders are forced to sell PTK in their investment account and repurchase in the TFSA account.
