Sorry, but that’s not correct. If something is untrue, it is not necessarily a lie, because this would imply the intention to deliberately deceive others. If something is not true, the reason can also be an error or – as this is probably the case here, where no one has the complete data basis – simply deviating assessments. You could neutrally speak of an untruth or even better: that you think it is an untruth.
