POET had, in fact, participated in the 2022 Synopsys Photonic Symposium: https://blogs.synopsys.com/optical-solutions/2022/11/21/2022-synopsys-photonic-symposium-recap/ - certainly POET uses the services of Synopsys ... and Synopsys seems to be proud of that. A good sign!
