Based on what I've read, it looks like the industry is still trying to figure itself out. This is a great opportunity for POET, as the OI and its products check all the boxes of concern.

It is possible that the industry still hasn't woken up to the POET story (although Sanan, ADVA and Luxshare did) because POET has not enter mass production yet. In the article, the word "scalability" has been mentioned many many times. It makes sense to me, you can talk all the talk but if you haven't churn out the kind of volume the industry wants to see, then you're not there yet.

A single wafer could yield hundreds of chips, so if there is no hiccups, POET and Super Photonics could churn out tens of thousands of chips a month at full ramp by the end of 2023. That would be the scalability factor the industry is looking for. At that stage, POET will emerge at the forefront of the PIC world.
