Suresh has highlighted the importance of 800G and beyond using Lumentum's most advanced DML. He has also talked about the need to move that production outside of China. When you think about it, a move to establish production outside of China is not going to require a huge investment. On the contrary, the CAPEX to enable POET production lines is modest compared to the costs required to set up production of competing monolithic silicon photonics systems. And when you think about past history POET reports on significant relationships after they have evolved. What I am saying is that it is conceivable that moves are being made as we speak to establish production of advanced modules outside of China to satisfy the established global needs. Those needs exist today so will POET’s customers (who are shrouded in secrecy) be satisfied to wait? The process is well understood by the people who POET deals with so I think concerns regarding commercial ramps do not have the same level of caution that would accompany other technologies such as LWLG.
