The approximately 2,000 hours of testing proves the 100G CWDM4 product can withstand extreme temperatures, meets industry standards, and is scalable.

This statement is a good reminder for people of the wavelength stability that is a very major differentiator from the temperature sensitivity associated with silicon photonic micro-rings.

Also I am really looking forward to POET’s additional beam shaping capabilities using Vanguard’s integrated microlenses.

"We are excited to collaborate with Poet Technologies to implement Vanguard Automation's photonic integration and packaging solutions," said Thorsten Mayer, CEO and managing director of Vanguard Automation. "The ability to print facet-attached-microlenses at wafer level with Poet's Optical Interposer technology offers a unique electro-optical platform and combines the complementary strengths of both companies."

Poet Technologies and Vanguard Automation will initially collaborate to integrate the microlenses on Poet's LightBar products, aimed at AI (artificial intelligence)-ML (machine learning) accelerators and bio-sensing applications to validate power efficiency improvements and the viability of chip-scale, wafer-level manufacturing using microlenses. Poet expects to start sampling LightBar products incorporating Vanguard Automation's microlenses to customers in the second half of 2023.

It is becoming a hallmark of POET/Suresh to find synergies that compliment the capabilities of the Optical Interposer in very meaningful ways.
