Much cyber ink has been spilled on this forum regarding POET's quiet mode. Most folks are frustrated that there is not much noise about POET that is made public.... POET's management probably deserves some of the criticism for not screaming about the company from the mountain tops. But what I glean from all this after several patient years is that POET is going to be "inside". I believe that POET may never become the household word that some are clamoring for. POET may make lots of revenue some day, but it is more likely that it will be because their product(s) will be buried inside another chip company's finished product. Think Broadcom, Nvidia, Celestial or any number of other potential chip makers. I am prepared to be corrected on this point, but I don't see POET ever being a household name, but rather they might be the heart of many products by other companies. That doesn't mean that POET couldn't be a $25-$100 company some day, but I just don't see them ever getting the visibility that the large chip makers get. Also, it is going to be hard to get serious volume on a daily basis if there are not many share available. Low share count is fantastic for a company that becomes a trend/meme/ and Wall Street can pump. But POET is known mostly by members of a couple forums, and chip engineers. As has been said here before, it will be contracts and revenue that will have POET turn the corner.
